BROADMOOR COMMON WORK PARTY FRIDAY 18 AUGUST

The ragwort on Broadmoor Common is flourishing this year, as it seems to be across the country. The majority of it on the south side of the common, will be left for wildlife but there is a section of grassland which will be cut and collected for livestock bedding. This section on the south side between Broadmoor Farm House and the access road to the cottages is where we need to pull the ragwort as it poses a threat to livestock when it is dry.

We plan to meet this coming Friday, 18th August at 10am at Broadmoor Common Car Park (Woolhope end of the common), then walk the short distance to where we need to start pulling. We would be very grateful if you are able to lend a hand.

If you can join us  for a couple of hours or as long as you can spare, the more the merrier and the easier the task. You will need to bring your own gloves but we will provide bags to put the ragwort in for disposal.
