Dear parish user group.
The Hills Ford rally, organised through the Parish on Sunday 15th September, has presented a great opportunity to raise funds for the parish user groups.
Locals have kindly allowed parking access and the setting up of a refreshment stall on their land so we can safely park cars off the lanes and offer refreshments. The entrance to parking is via the avenue. Please see the attached image which show the controlled viewing area on the Common. Food stall and toilets will be in the field and not on the common.
The proposal is that any volunteers from Parish user groups who help on the day will get a proportional share of profits raised to pass to the group they are representing. My stint on the car parking will be helping the cricket club!
Please get in touch if you are able to help on the day. If the weather is kind then numbers maybe large.
We have been advised to charge £10 a car for parking and spectators enjoy plenty of bacon rolls apparently!
We hope it will be a fun day for the Parish with some useful funds raised for local groups.
